Steve Giles
Board Review and Governance Specialist

Steve Giles is a chartered accountant and non-executive director. He has over 20 years’ experience of advising business leaders on issues concerning governance, risk and compliance.

He worked on high profile and sensitive forensic assignments whilst at Deloitte, including the Polly Peck investigation.

Since leaving Deloitte in 1997, Steve has set up and run two consulting companies, helping clients in the UK, Continental Europe and the US to improve their performance. Now he puts this experience to good use, both as a non-executive director and as an external facilitator of board evaluation reviews.

Steve lectures extensively around the world on corporate governance, risk & resiliency and business ethics. He is a world-class facilitator, running regular development sessions for directors and senior executives at both the Institute of Directors and the London Stock Exchange. He is a frequent speaker for the ACCA.

Steve holds an MA from Christ Church, Oxford, is a Guest Lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London and is a published author.
