Leadership transition

We worked with a Financial Services organisation which had been through a series of rapid leadership changes. The new team needed support in stepping up into stretch roles and specific development in meeting new objectives, coming together as a team and working with the Board.

Approach

We carried out in depth assessments and a gap analysis leading to Board alignment on development priorities and milestones to be addressed by the Executive. Each of the executive team then had detailed feedback and commenced on a program of coaching- along side team development sessions focussing on core priorities. This included governance and working with the Board, leading change, developing strategy and Talent. Alongside this, a new Chair was supported in setting out a Board development agenda and establishing dialogue and process with the CEO.

 

Insights and Impact

Each of the executive was reviewed after six months to re-examine progress and remaining gaps. As an outcome, one was appointed director and invited onto the Board. One other is having functional development through a mentor and two others are working towards well defined milestone objectives.
