Giles is a board review and executive search consultant with over 20 years of experience. He has delivered almost exclusively board mandates for the last 15 years at both Odgers Berndtson, where he was a partner and practice leader, and more lately as the MD of Satori. In this time he has worked with Chairs and CEOs in improving and developing high performing boards through a blend of board review and executive and non-executive search.
In terms of Board Review Giles is sector agnostic, supporting Chairs, CEOs, investors and stakeholders to enhance the performance of their boards. This work often entails further support in board development activities, usually delivered through our associate network of senior and highly skilled practitioners. Satori tends to maintain its high-quality customer relationships over a period of years, building trust and securing the confidence of its clients through the quality of its work. Over time our understanding of the organisation, its board, executive team, culture and strategy enables us to deliver highly informed solutions in areas such as succession planning, onboarding, team facilitation, executive and non-executive search.
Satori delivers executive search across a range of sectors including technology, industrial, energy and infrastructure, support services and public sectors. Giles’ particular specialism in search is with mid-cap companies operating either side of the public private interface. He has a highly developed appreciation for the complexities of operating with government as either shareholder or stakeholder, built over 15 years of servicing companies in that segment.
Prior to his search career Giles was a British Army officer where he developed an interest in, and passion for leadership and its effect on both individuals and organisations. He is a graduate of Liverpool University and has been a member of two senior advisory boards.
